2. Keep a portfolio of your own. Purchase a notebook or create a document on your computer where you can record your thoughts and experiences. Document your learning journey! I wish someone had given me that advice when I first started on this journey. Take pictures of different artefacts that you and your students create. Seeing the work that you've done and the growth of your students will be motivating during struggles that you face.

3. Choose one area you want to start with. Don't worry about all 6 areas at once. Choose one. Set a long term goal of what you want to achieve in that area and why. Then set mini goal of what you want to accomplish first. For example, a long term goal might be I will incorporate one critical inquiry project with my students this year. A mini goal or a first step might be, I will incorporate one thinking routine into my lessons this week. Mini goals are the stepping stones that will lead to your ultimate goal. Don't try to change everything all at once. This is not an all or nothing approach. Gradual change is more sustainable and more effective.
